College Planning Guide 2017

This useful tool is available to all members of the Class of 2018. It contains information about the college search process and admissions procedures. The last page of the guide contains a release form which must be completed in order to list SAT/ACT scores on the student’s transcript. This form must be placed on file prior to the submission of the first transcript.

College Night

The Susquehanna Valley School Counselors Association, in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC), will conduct a College Night on Monday, October 10, 2016, from 6:30PM to 8:00PM in the Bucknell University Gerhard Field House. High school students and their families will have the opportunity to speak with admissions representatives from approximately 70 two- and four-year colleges and universities, technical schools and the Armed Services from Pennsylvania and neighboring states. Adults who have been out of school for more than a year may also use this program to begin or augment their search for continuing education opportunities.

Financial Aid Night

Financial Aid Night will be held on Thursday, May 11th at 6:00PM in the high school DCI (large group instruction room). This valuable program will be presented by Marla Kane, Regional PHEAA Director. FAFSA forms can now be submitted beginning October 1st of the senior year. More information will be distributed closer to the date of the meeting.

Graduation Project Overview and Proposal Form

All members of the Class of 2017 must submit a proposal for their graduation project. The proposal must be approved before the project begins. Proposals can be submitted to the main office during the summer.

Standardized Test Score Release Form

All seniors and their parents will be asked to sign a release form acknowledging that all SAT and ACT scores will or will not be placed on the transcript.
