The Donald H. Eichhorn Middle School is a true middle school that focuses on the needs of preadolescent children. The school was recognized as one of the finest in the nation when it received the National Blue Ribbon Award of Excellence from the United States Department of Education in 2002 and 2017 and as a Schools to Watch Site by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform in 2010.
The school houses grades six through eight and features grade level teaching teams with a rigorous curriculum for the students. The exploratory approach to education at this level allows students to grow and develop as they experience several learning opportunities.
Our doors open at 7:20 am each school day. Students should head straight to their homeroom upon arrival. If a student wishes to purchase a breakfast, they should stop by the cafeteria on their way to homeroom and pick one up. Students who arrive at 7:45 or later must stop by the main office to be screened and to obtain a pass. Our dismissal process begins at 2:40 pm.
