Extension of School Closure

This afternoon (March 23), Governor Wolf has announced that schools will remain closed for two additional weeks, with the Department of Education adding that the closures will last until at least April 6. Previously, he had shut them until March 30. The Department of Education said that, once schools are safe to open, administrators and teachers will have two days to prepare before students return on the third day.

The District’s administrative team will meet tomorrow morning (March 24) to plan how to provide additional learning activities during this extended school closure.  As these activities become available, we will communicate them to you.

Please follow all guidance from the Center for Disease Control, the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the Governor to keep yourself and others safe.
