Fall 2018

Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream

We are pleased to announce that the cast of this year’s Lewisburg Area High School Fall Play has been accepted to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, an annual International Performing Arts Festival, in August 2019 in Edinburgh, Scotland.  Each year, the best high school theatre departments in the country are selected by the American High School Theatre Festival to perform in front of thousands of people on this world stage. We will need your help to raise money for this once in a lifetime opportunity for our students. To help us get there, visit our fundraising page. For more information about the Fringe Festival, visit our information page.

An estimated 50 schools are selected among nominees across the U.S. to join the American High School Theatre Festival at Fringe. The Lewisburg Area High School is only the second school from Pennsylvania ever chosen! Fringe began in 1947 while its American theater guests formally joined in 1994. Approximately 2.7 million tickets were issued to Fringe shows last year: 53,000-plus performances, nearly 3,400 shows, 300 venues across two weeks in August.
