Pre-K Counts

PreK Counts is a FREE Pennsylvania Pre-Kindergarten program, for children ages 3 and 4, provided to families with a household income 300% or below the federal poverty level. (Please see the chart below that lists our income limits based on family size.) Please inquire if you are not sure if your family qualifies.

All About LASD PreK Counts:

  • Provides an easy transition to kindergarten for students that live within the Lewisburg Area School District
  • Teacher with a four year degree and teaching certification
  • HighScope Curriculum, state-approved screenings and assessments
  • Class size of no more than 18 students with one teacher and one assistant teacher
  • Follows the district schedule
  • Full-day program (8:45-3:30)
  • Free lunch and snack
  • Transportation is provided
