Notice for 2020 Bonds


            NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a public meeting held on April 23, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., prevailing time, the Board of School Directors of the Lewisburg Area School District, Union County, Pennsylvania (the “School District”), adopted a resolution (the “Resolution”) authorizing the School District to incur nonelectoral debt by the issuance of a series of general obligations to be designated as the General Obligation Bonds, Series of 2020 (the “Bonds”), in a maximum aggregate principal amount of $8,000,000, for the purpose of providing funds to be used to refund all, or any portion, of the outstanding principal amount of the School District’s General Obligation Bonds, Series of 2015.

The aggregate purchase price for the Bonds was fixed at not less than 95% nor more than 125% of the aggregate principal amount, including the Underwriter’s discount and total net original discount or premium.  The maximum interest rate approved for the Bonds is 5.00% per annum.  Certain clarifications and grammatical changes were made to the text prior to or during final adoption of the Resolution.

This notice is given in accordance with the requirements of and in compliance with the Local Government Unit Debt Act, 53 Pa.C.S. § 8001 et seq., as amended and supplemented.
