It is time to sign up for Odyssey of the Mind!
Registration is now open to students K-12. If you are already part of a team, please indicate that on the registration form. If you are interested, but do not have a team, please indicate that on the registration form, and I will try to match students up to create teams. It is important to note that a team MUST have a board-approved volunteer coach (usually a parent) in order to officially register. Teams must also have two judges, who will judge at the tournament (teams will incur penalties if they do not have 2 judges). A team consists of up to 7 students. Your team will choose one of the 5 problems to work on. Please indicate on the registration form which problem you are interested in.
There are three levels that teams compete at: Elementary (K-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12). The level that the team competes at is determined by the team member in the highest grade. For example, if a team consists of 4 fifth graders and 3 sixth graders, the team will compete at the Middle School level. If a team has a mixture of Kelly and Linntown students, the students will compete as Linntown at the Elementary level.
The school district pays for team registration and tournament fees for the regional and state tournaments. Transportation to the tournaments and other expenses is the responsibility of the team.
REGISTRATION PROCESS: Please complete the registration form and either email to Jen Sands (email@example.com) or print out and send by mail to Jen Sands, Linntown Elementary School.
