It is time to sign up for Odyssey of the Mind!
Registration is now open to students K-12. Last year was the first year we had a team from Kelly compete! Some teams stay together year after year. If you are already part of a team, please indicate that on the registration form. If you are interested, but do not have a team, please indicate that on the registration form, and I will try to match students up to create teams. It is important to note that a team MUST have a board-approved volunteer coach (usually a parent) in order to officially register. Teams must also have two judges, who will judge at the tournament (teams will incur penalties if they do not have 2 judges). A team consists of up to 7 students. Your team will choose one of the 5 problems to work on. Please indicate on the registration form which problem you are interested in.
There are three levels that teams compete at: Elementary (K-5), Middle School (6-8), and High School (9-12). The level that the team competes at is determined by the team member in the highest grade. For example, if a team consists of 4 fifth graders and 3 sixth graders, the team will compete at the Middle School level. If a team has a mixture of Kelly and Linntown students, the students will compete as Linntown at the Elementary level.
The school district pays for all registration and tournament fees. Transportation to the tournament (including props, etc.) is the responsibility of the team. There will be a preview night where the teams are able to run through their skits ahead of the tournament in March.
NEW REGISTRATION PROCESS THIS YEAR: Please complete the registration form and either email to Jen Sands (email@example.com) or print out and send by mail to Jen Sands, Linntown Elementary School.
